Information on how you can get a refund if you have a valid season ticket.
If you have purchased a season ticket from a station and it is a paper ticket or on a Metro Card please return it to a staffed Merseyrail station if you require a refund.
Season ticket refunds cannot be requested via our online form or by posting the ticket into Merseyrail if they were originally bought from a station. Staff at our station ticket offices will be able to help you with your refund.
Trio tickets must be returned to a Merseytravel Travel Centre for refund, a list of which can be found in our Passengers Charter here.
Your refund will be calculated from the day after you return the ticket and the amount due to you will be based on the amount of time you have used it for. Please note that this also includes the discounted periods, so the amount you receive may be less than you expect.
